According to the Food & Agriculture Organization with the United Nations, worldwide food production needs to increase by 70% to keep up with population growth and demand. At the same time, drought and water shortages threaten traditional farming methods as well as the raising of beef, pork, and poultry. Even traditional fish farming methods are at risk from contaminated systems and wasted water from inefficient systems.
